I would recommend Marian Keyes books, eg Watermelon, Sushi for beginners, made me laugh out loud, sometimes poignant too!
References :
Spanking Shakespeare by Jake Wizner got me laughing out loud. Which was weird because I was reading this in the library and people were looking at me like I was crazy.
References :
Try John Green's novels: Looking For Alaska, An Abundance Of Katherines, Paper Towns, and Will Grayson Will Grayson. I've read them all a bazillion times over, and I still laugh every time.
Also read Nightlight, the Twilight parody. It's amazing, whether you love or hate (which I do) Twilight.
References :
I'm not familiar with Ms Lette but I'm going to go out on a limb here & recommend some funny books anyway:
"Candide" by Voltaire
"A Confederacy of Dunces" by John Kennedy Toole - hilarious misadventures of a world-class slacker
"The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams
"Cannery Row" & "Tortilla Flat" by John Steinbeck
"Prizzi's Family" "Prizzi's Honor" "Prizzi's Money" "Prizzi's Glory" by Richard Condon - all about America's most hilarious disorganized crime family

Satire is a lesson, parody is a game.

If you like a bit of a detective novel, then the Stephanie Plum (bounty hunter) series by Janet Evanovich are good. There are some hilarious bits in those. She has written 16 now. I have read the first 7 which are great.

There is a movie coming out so you could watch that and if you like it read the books!
References :
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephanie_Plum

Well, if you aren't offended easily, then An Abundance of Katherines and Looking for Alaska by John Green are funny. I thought Sh*t my Dad Says by Justin Halpern was freaking hilarious.
