What is a good place to DOWNLOAD new release movies?

Posted by: admin  /  Category: New Release

IT doesn’t have to be free unless you know a REALLY good free site (please no sites with crappy bootlegged movies, by new release i mean already on DVD) if they aren’t free I would Prefer a site with a low MONTHLY cost, nothing that charges per movie. Please only tell me sites that you have tried and LOVED. Thank You

I like jonas brothers ,The Descent ,SuperBad, Role Models, What Happens in Vegas

Can you recommend some good Chick Lit authors?

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Chick Lit

I have really gotten into that genre lately and am SICK of romance novels. I like quirky funny books that deal with women’s issues like Marian Keyes, Jennifer Weiner, etc. I know this genre is becoming increasingly popular. Can anyone recommend some more good ones?

I know what you mean. I ran across the genre on an accident and can’t put them down.

Here are a couple of websites I frequent when searching for a new author to read. Each website breaks their books down to sub genres so that what you are searching for is easier to find.

Enjoy!

Angels and Demons, What are the book reviews?

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Book Reviews

Before i read the book i wanted to hear some reviews. The Da Vinci Code was incredible. Dan Brown is amazingso i was wondering how his new book was. I intend on watching it after i read. Its much better that way.

Angels and Demons came before The Da Vinci Code. However, for some reason the Da Vinci Code became famous first.

I read A&D first and personally LOVED it - way more than The Da Vinci Code. I also thought the movie was a lot more exciting.

I think the whole plot/theme of A&D is more cohesive and flows better. Beware that it deals with conspiracies within the Catholic church, and some sections may seem blasphemous to very religious people. However, I feel like most people just take it as fiction.

You must make reading it your first priority!

Lyrics:
In the heart
Of the night
Where its dark
In the lights
I heard the loudest noise
A gunshot on the floor
Ohhhh Ohhhhh

I looked down
And my shirts turning red
Im spinning around
Felt her lips on my neck
And her voice in my ear
Like I missed you
want you tonight

Chorus:
Straight through my heart
A single bullet got me
I cant stop the bleeding
Ohhhh
Straight through my heart
She aimed and she shot me
I just cant believe it
Ohhhh
No I cant resist
And I can’t be hit
I just cant escape this love
Straight through my heart
Soldier down(my heart)
Soldier down(my heart)

Thought I moved
More than on
Thought I could
Fool her charm
I really wanna go
But I cant leave her alone
Ohhhh ohhhh

Hear the sound
Of a love so loud
I just cant, I just cant
Ignore this feeling
Said she misses me
And she wants me
Wants me tonight

Chorus

In the heart
Of the night
When its dark
In the lights
I heard the loudest noise
A gunshot on the floor

Chorus

Scion xB - Kelley Blue Book’s Review

FOR MORE CAR VIDEOS & REVIEWS CHECK OUT http://www.kbb.com/kbb/NewsAndReviews/VideoLibrary.aspx

Scion xB. When Scion set out to redesign the nearly three-year-old xB, it asked current owners and fans of the brand what they would like to see on the next generation. Their feedback revealed that people wanted the box-like styling to stay, but also wanted the car to be larger, with a more powerful engine and more standard features, such as cruise control. The result is a vehicle that should appeal to both Scion enthusiasts and other potential buyers, all at a reasonable price. Scion’s straight-forward “mono spec” basic equipment level continues, encouraging customization and making the car-buying process more personal. Womens Role in American Fiction/American Dream(Great Gatsby)?

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Womens Fiction

I’m trying to write a thesis on The Great Gatsby. I’m doing a research paper on how womens roles were related to the American dream during the 1920’s. I’m having troubles getting this idea going though. What made me want to do this was the line that said

‘ I hope she’ll be a fool- that’s the best thing a girl can be in this world, a beautiful little fool’

I want to talk about how even if a woman were to be extremly smart, and not a fool, that because of the social environment that does not value inteligence in women.

I’m trying to expand(yet not copy) something along the lines of this quotation explanation from Spark Notes:

Daisy speaks these words in Chapter I as she describes to Nick and Jordan her hopes for her infant daughter. While not directly relevant to the novel’s main themes, this quote offers a revealing glimpse into Daisy’s character. Daisy is not a fool herself but is the product of a social environment that, to a great extent, does not value intelligence in women. The older generation values subservience and docility in females, and the younger generation values thoughtless giddiness and pleasure-seeking. Daisy’s remark is somewhat sardonic: while she refers to the social values of her era, she does not seem to challenge them. Instead, she describes her own boredom with life and seems to imply that a girl can have more fun if she is beautiful and simplistic. Daisy herself often tries to act such a part. She conforms to the social standard of American femininity in the 1920s in order to avoid such tension-filled issues as her undying love for Gatsby

I’m afraid that women are still not valued for a number of things, and Daisy is not in a hurry to make the world a better place to live. Daisy wants a good time at parties, to flirt with men, and pick up the current gossip. I do not think Daisy loves Gatsby. In fact, I don’t think she is capable of loving anyone. Don’t they both leave Gatsby to go to another place where they can do the same things they were doing. They were shallow people out for what they thought was the way to become important and part of the "in" group. Money was a necessary part of the act, as the onlooker would notice. Her hopes of her daughter’s life is the same as Daisy’s: be wealthy, be looked up to, and is part of the lives of the people who are talked about, but do not talk about such things as how to improve life for the poor and uneducated. Gatsby was trying so hard to join that group, but was not successful due to his completely different thinking and believing. He is in a position to lose everything at the end of the story.
It’s been a long time since I’ve read this, and you have a good start. There is a short story about how this all ends when Gatsby goes back to Paris to find his daughter and have her live with him, but that is only more heartbreaking.
